Nailed it. A brilliant chip out for four for GB. Bruce Mouat's team are great to watch when they get into the groove.

Every single curling aficionado I've spoken to this week has waxed lyrical about them.

Bruce Mouat plays a stellar end to this second end. This was the situation with a couple of stones in hand but he expertly manoeuvres things to see Great Britain take four. Massive.

It’s another snowy day in the mountains, where today Team GB freestyle skiers Kirsty Muir and Katie Summerhayes start their second event of these Olympics - slopestyle qualification.

They are 18th and 22nd to go on the first run, which starts at 02:00 GMT for you early birds.

Very well played indeed from Ma Xiuyue, he was able to play the shot.

Close there but the Chinese skip with an excellent draw right at the end.

They went for the draw instead and it was nicely played to salvage one. A decent result for GB, though, who now have the hammer.

Magical touch from China skip Ma Xiuyue with the final stone of the opening end, deftly sending it home delicately to take out three GB had in the house.

He made it look easy when the pressure was on.

Wow, you learn something neat everyday when these Winter Games get rolling.

The stones used in curling are made from a granite – which is 60 million years old – extracted from Ailsa Craig, an uninhabited island 10 miles off Scotland’s west coast.

It takes over five hours to make one stone from a lump of granite. Each stone costs about £500 but can last 25 years.

That has blown my mind.

They're going to try and leave China needing a take out of three here.

Bruce Mouat's team are out there cracking on. Grant Hardie, Bobby Lammie and Hammy McMillan are on the ice and they've started well with their yellow stones in this first end. There are two stones remaining for each team.

Mouat’s men are the European champions and world silver medallists and have been in top form this season.

This is a match the GB guys are going to have to win.

Everyone was a little unaware of how this Chinese team were going to perform. The crowd are starting to build their confidence and the Chinese teams are performing well.

This will be an interesting game, GB just need to keep their cool and play the game they know they can.

The first of two games for GB's men today. On paper - and I stress the paper bit - these are your bankers.

China and Denmark are probably the two weakest teams in the section, so this is a brilliant chance to move to a 4-1 win record for Mouat and co.

Now speaking of bullseye, there's a massive dart-shaped board on the ice and that can only mean we have curling on BBC One.

Great Britain's men are in action against China in their round robin fixture and of course, you can watch it on BBC One or at the top of this live page.

Be bold, be strategic and leave nothing in the locker room when you send that stone down.

Welcome one and all to day nine. It's all beginning to take shape now isn't it?

We know our curling rivals, we know the form teams in round-robin ice hockey, we know that waxing your snowboard is so crucial that they'll soon run degree programmes on how to best step up.... the list goes on.

What's key is we have seven gold medals up for grabs on day nine.

Champions will be made, dreams will come true and heartache will be abundant. It reminds me of an episode of Bullseye.

Nine days of thrills, spills, controversy and grind my Olympic brothers and sisters.

We've reached what I will call the 'digging in' stage. You're still loving it but that well is beginning to run dry.

Great Britain's medal total remains on zero. We fight, we stick in, we dig.

Come forth my winter family. Walk with me through the harsh snows, hold me up on the grizzly ice, dig for me when my shovel is weak.
