Each curling stone is equipped with a heat sensor that can sense if a player releases the stone too late, for a violation.

Switzerland 1-3 Sweden
Lots of discussions taking place as Switzerland prepare to send down their final stone with Sweden looking in a strong position...
That'll do nicely, though. The Swiss sneak in to limit the damage, but Sweden still take the single from the third end for a 3-1 lead.
Curler Eve Muirhead and alpine skier Dave Ryding are both competing in their fourth Winter Olympics!
Fittingly, they carried the Great Britain flag into the Bird's Nest stadium.
This is the moment Team GB entered the building.
Switzerland 1-2 Sweden
Switzerland halve the deficit after the second end, cutting Sweden's lead to 2-1 with a decent last attempt.
It's a close one, this.
Meanwhile, Norway have stormed into a 6-0 lead over Australia, who look rather unlikely to pick up their first victory here...
GB v Czech Republic (06:05 GMT)
GB now have a record of three wins and one defeat in the mixed doubles curling.
Only the top four sides at the end of the group phase will get the chance to play for a medal. Currently Britain are sharing second place.

GB v Czech Republic (06:05 GMT)
Great Britain's mixed doubles curlers Jen Dodds and Bruce Mouat survived an inspired Australia fightback to maintain their semi-final hopes in Beijing.
Leading 6-1 and then 8-6, the British pair were pegged back in the last end to force a decider.
But after Mouat's take-out in the extra end, Australia's Tahli Gill missed her draw to give Britain a nervy 9-8 win.
Here's what happened.
Switzerland 0-2 Sweden
The first action of the night comes in curling, as Switzerland take on Sweden and Australia face Norway.
Sweden are the highest-placed team in action in fourth, just behind Great Britain who are tied second.
They've just taken an early 2-0 lead against Switzerland, who are tied eighth with Norway.
Winless Australia are 10th, and currently 4-0 behind.

OK, so we've already had a few days of competition in Beijing.
But on Friday, the 2022 Winter Olympics officially got under way after the Olympic cauldron was lit in the opening ceremony.
The 24th edition of the Games began in a somewhat restrained opening ceremony, which saw the Olympic torch placed into the centre of a giant snowflake that was illuminated, becoming the cauldron.
But, just as in Tokyo six months ago, there were no paying spectators, friends or family present in the stands due to the pandemic - although there were diplomats and team members applauding the athletes on.
