Guernsey racing driver Andy Priaulx is to compete in the European Le Mans Series next year.
The 40-year-old three-time World Touring Car champion has been racing in America's United SportsCar Championship this year, having spent the previous two years in Germany's DTM series.
"I always embrace a new challenge and am proud to be heading up BMW's works team in this exciting series," he said.
Priaulx will be part of a three-strong team racing from April to September.
"Although I know all of the circuits on the calendar, it will not make things any easier as I know there is some fierce competition out there," he added.
"However, I am confident that the BMW Z4 GTE is more than up to the challenge."
