Formula E: Nelson Piquet Jr wins championship in London

Brazilian Nelson Piquet Jr won the inaugural Formula E Championship by a single point from Sebastien Buemi, after finishing seventh in a thrilling climax to the season at London's Battersea Park on Sunday.
Driving for Chinese team Nextev, Piquet Jr had his lead cut to five points after his e.dams rival won on Saturday.
Had Buemi taken fourth place from Bruno Senna on the final lap on Sunday, then the title would have gone to the Swiss.
Sam Bird won the race for Virgin.
Bird was handed the victory after Stephane Sarrazin, who crossed the line first having started on pole driving for Leonardo DiCaprio's Venturi team, was handed a 49-second penalty for going over his power allowance.
Bird also won the Visa fastest lap award, which was presented to him by four-time sailing Olympic gold medallist Sir Ben Ainslie.
Piquet, who jokingly suggested he would lend Senna his credit card for a year for holding off Buemi, praised his team.
"The championship has been really tough," said the 29-year-old former Formula 1 driver. "We've got a good group of guys. They trusted me and believed in me."
The first ever single-seater electric racing series, sanctioned by motor sport's governing body, the FIA, took place in 10 cities.
It was created in order to attract a new audience to the sport and help develop electric technology for the automotive industry.
