Michael Dunlop tops Classic TT practice times

Michael Dunlop continued to set the pace as riders completed their first full practice session for the Classic TT in the Isle of Man on Thursday.

The Northern Irish racer posted a lap of 122.96mph from a standing start on the F1 Team Classic Suzuki - the first lap above 120mph of the week so far.

Meanwhile, Ryan Farquhar was also on the pace with a lap of 122.134mph - eight seconds slower that Dunlop.

Practice will continue of Friday, with racing on Saturday.

In near perfect conditions, nine riders completed a lap above 117mph.

Elsewhere, John McGuinness topped the 500cc timesheets with a lap of 110.634mph and Lee Johnston leads the 350cc timesheets.

Both men won the respective races at last year's event.

The two-week festival includes both the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT.
