Wales finished as runners-up to hosts Manchester Thunder in a four-team tournament including three of England's Superleague sides.

Wales won their opening match against Team Northumbria 21-12 before a hard-fought 22-22 draw against Thunder.

A 22-18 victory over Yorkshire Jets left Wales as top of the group table ahead of Thunder on goal average.

But Melissa Hyndman's side ran out of steam in the repeat encounter against the Manchester side, losing 27-20.

Most of the Wales squad will now play for the Celtic Dragons in the new league season starting in January.

The Netball Europe Championships next May will provide Wales with their final preparation ahead of the Commonwealth Games.
