Netball Superleague: Celtic Dragons break 2014 points record

Celtic Dragons beat Team Northumbria 76-41 in round 10 of Superleague to set a new points record for the season.

The Welsh club held the previous high score from their 70-point haul against Yorkshire Jets in round seven.

Their record was briefly taken off them by Hertfordshire Mavericks, who beat Loughborough Lightning 71-35 in Saturday's early game, but the Dragons regained it later that evening.

Surrey stayed top of the standings with a 63-42 win over the Jets.

It means unbeaten Storm have secured a place in the play-off semi-finals with four matches still to go.

In the final game of round 10 on Monday, third-placed Team Bath travel to Manchester Thunder, who are five points ahead in second.
