St Michael's 0-9 1-4 St Patrick's

St Michael's Enniskillen fought back from four points down at half-time to win the MacRory Cup final at Armagh.

St Pat's Maghera controlled the first half with the wind at their backs and Gerard Bradley's goal helped them into a 1-3 to 0-2 lead at the break.

Eddie Courtney's free started the comeback although St Michael's had Liam Martin sent-off on 46 minutes.

The Fermanagh school stayed on top and Courtney added four more wind-assisted frees to seal a two-point triumph.

"These boys never know when they are beaten," said St Michael's coach Dominic Corrigan.

"The team came out in the second half and played some great stuff."

Courtney slotted over the opening score but St Pat's were soon in front after two Stephen O'Hara points.

Bradley fired low and hard into the bottom corner for his goal and the late replacement sent over a fine point after Niall Beggan doubled the St Michael's tally.

St Pat's came close to a second goal soon after the restart, with Bradley's shot blocked before Neil McNicholl poked the loose ball wide.

From here it was all St Michael's and Martin's dismissal, minutes after he scored a point, could not halt their momentum.

Courtney was helped by the wind but accuracy was still required, and his excellent run of frees proved the difference.

Tommy McCaffrey was also on target for St Michael's while O'Hara scored the sole point of the second half for the Maghera lads.
