Allianz Football League: Kieran McGeeney praises Armagh's clinical streak in Meath win

Armagh boss Kieran McGeeney was pleased with the ruthlessness displayed by his side in their 2-16 to 0-10 win over Meath at the Athletic Grounds.
The Orchard County recorded their second win in Division Two with the help of well-taken goals from Cian McConville and Ciaran Mackin.
"We got the goals that we missed last week and that gave us a cushion," he said.
"We are delighted to get the two points, that is a big plus for us."
Armagh found the clinical edge they were lacking on opening weekend, where they edged Louth 0-12 to 0-11.
A tally of 1-3 without reply had the hosts ahead by six points at the interval, with McConville blasting home the first goal from close range.
Mackin then rifled in his side's second goal early in the second half, as Armagh saw the game out to claim a 12-point win.
McGeeney praised the performance of Oisin Conaty who created the first goal, but played down the significance of back-to-back wins at this early stage of the season.
"We missed a couple of chances again in the early stages and we gave the ball away too much, but that goal before half-time gave us a cushion and we could play with a bit more freedom.
"Oisin Conaty was superb, his pace and power and then it was a good goal from McConville, but Meath go for goal at the end when they could clip points, so every scoreboard doesn't tell the true story," he admitted.
"It is very early in the year to think that it is anything but four points."
The 52-year old insists that Armagh are not suffering a "hangover" from last season, when they lost the Ulster Championship final against Derry on penalties and crashed out at the All-Ireland quarter-final stage after a narrow defeat against Monaghan.
"A hangover, I would say not, everyone is pushing hard so I'm hoping it [last year] is more of a motivation than a hangover.
"I'm hoping the players who were watching that didn't get on will think 'I want on there' and they'll push hard to get there, hopefully that will raise the tide.
"I think the players are doing well at the minute, but the thing will be the next three or four games and if they will continue and keep that consistency."
