Olympics hockey: Ashley Jackson earns GB draw with South Africa

Great Britain's men let a long-held lead slip and were thankful to escape with a 2-2 draw against South Africa in the Olympic hockey tournament.
After winning their opening group match, Britain went ahead through a penalty corner from Ashley Jackson in the 14th minute.
But with 10 minutes remaining, South Africa struck with two quick goals from Austin Smith and Jonathan Robinson.
Jackson rescued a draw for GB when he converted from close range.
"We didn't turn up today. We weren't good enough," said Jackson.
"They shouldn't be able to compete with us when we play our best game and we didn't. You could kind of feel that was the way the game was going and we were getting good turnovers and not making anything of them.
"We covered up all the poor stuff with the corner at the end."
The point keeps Britain in second place in Pool A behind the impressive Australians, who followed up an opening 6-0 win over South Africa with a 5-0 demolition of Spain. Pakistan beat Argentina 2-0.
Two teams progress from each group, with Britain facing Pakistan at 16:00 BST on Friday.
Coach Jason Lee added: "It was one point gained as opposed to three lost and it still keeps us in the hunt.
"I thought we were a bit too passive so we ran more than we needed to and we started to run out of legs in the second half, which made it tough to keep control."
Jackson's equalising goal had gone to the video referee, and South Africa coach Greg Clark said: "You can't really tell from those screens out there because it is fuzzy.
"But the video umpire has a lot more screens in front of him so I'm guessing he made the right decision - but it is still a bit inconclusive.
"I'm disappointed it didn't go our way but I've not been able to see it properly so I'll reserve comment on it."
In Pool B, the Netherlands beat Belgium 3-1, New Zealand saw off India by the same score and Germany triumphed over South Korea 1-0.
