Olympics triple jump: Yamile Aldama misses out on a medal

Great Britain's Yamile Aldama missed out on a medal as Kazakhstan's Olga Rypakova secured Olympic gold in the women's triple jump final.
Aldama won gold at the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul in March but could only finish fifth on Sunday.
Rypakova, 27, won with a jump of 14.98m as Aldama only managed 14.48 at the Olympic Stadium.
Caterine Ibarguen of Colombia secured silver while bronze went to Ukraine's Olha Saladuha.
There were high hopes for Aldama, who has previously competed for her native Cuba and Sudan but has lived in Britain for more than a decade.
However, wearing heavy strapping on the shoulder she injured in Rome in May, the 39-year-old rarely looked likely to finish in a medal position, managing only three centimetres further than she jumped in qualifying.
Rypakova, who won silver at the World Championships in Daegu in 2011, finished comfortably clear of nearest challenger Ibarguen, who jumped 14.80.
