Olympics football: Highlights of Brazil 3-1 Belarus

Brazil's Neymar has played down the chances of his country winning a first football gold medal despite a brilliant performance in a 3-1 win over Belarus.

The 20-year-old scored a stunning free-kick and set up goals for Alexandre Pato and Oscar as Brazil secured their place in the quarter-finals.

"I scored and made two assists so for me it was perfect, but I don't know if we can win the competition," he said.

Brazil have won five World Cups, but have never won at the Olympics.

"It is a difficult tournament with so many good teams in it, but we will try our best to win it," added Neymar.

Neymar still plays in his home country for Santos but has been linked with host of European teams.

But Brazil head coach Mano Menezes was reluctant to single him out for praise.

"I was happy with all the players' performances," he said.

"The most important thing was that we won and that we qualified from this group with one match to spare.

"Our supporters are also happy and we have taken an important step in these Olympics today."

Brazil could play Great Britain in the last eight.
