Irish sailing: Matt McGovern and Ryan Seaton miss out on 49er medal race

Irish sailing pair Matt McGovern and Ryan Seaton have missed out on a place in the 49er medal race after finishing 14th after the 15 initial races.
Bangor man McGovern and Seaton, from Carrickfergus, went into the final two races occupying the top 10 position which they needed to progress.
The duo were 16th in the penultimate and final races on Monday, with Australia securing the gold medal.
Ger Owens and Scott Flannigan were 23rd after their 10 races in the 470 class.
The pair finished the series strongly, with a 16th place in race nine and then their best result, a fifth position, in race 10.
Only the top 10 made the medal race.
