China's Olympic debutant Deng Wei broke two world records to lift a combined 262kg and claim gold in the women's -63kg weightlifting at Rio 2016.

Deng, 23, lifted 147kg to break her own clean-and-jerk record from 2015 by 1kg, and the total broke Lin Tzu-chi's 261kg mark from 2014.

North Korea's Choe Hyo-Sim won silver with 248kg while Kazakhstan's Karina Goricheva lifted 243kg to take bronze.

Deng's win on day four took China's tally of gold medals to seven.
