Russia won their fifth consecutive Olympic gold in team synchronised swimming with a near-flawless display.

They scored two perfect 10s from the judges - one for execution and one for artistic impression - for the free routine at Rio's Maria Lenk Centre.

The Russian team's total score of 196.1439 was more than three points clear of China, who claimed silver for the second Olympics in a row.

Japan edged out Ukraine by just over half a point to win the bronze medal.
