Bradly Sinden has guaranteed Great Britain's second medal of the Tokyo Olympics by reaching the men's -68kg final in taekwondo.
The 2019 world champion, 22, beat Zhao Shuai of China 33-25 to ensure he will win a silver medal at the least.
Victory also keeps Doncaster-born Sinden on course to become Britain's first male Olympic taekwondo champion.
He will face Uzbekistan's Ulugbek Rashitov in the final, which gets under way at 13:45 BST.
Team GB's first medal in Tokyo was won earlier on Sunday, with Chelsie Giles securing bronze in the women's -52kg judo.
Sinden has been in superb form so far in Tokyo and is looking a strong bet to secure Britain's first gold of the Games.
He powered into the semi-final with a 20-point win against Hakan Recber and then dug in against Zhao, a Rio Olympic champion at the lighter -58kg category, coming from behind to win.
Sinden trailed by seven points at one stage in the final round but produced a stunning fightback to win by eight points.
