"The signing of Leon Pryce is one of the high points of our history," said Robinson.
"The signing is recognition that six years of hard work have gained us the trust of major players like Leon."
Pryce began his career at Bradford, where he made 190 appearances, scoring 85 tries.
During his eight years at the Bulls, Pryce won three Super League titles, two Challenge Cups and three World Club Challenge trophies.
In 2006 Pryce made the move to St Helens, where his success continued, winning five more trophies during a five-year spell.
However, over the past two seasons he has struggled with injuries - suffering from both neck and groin problems., external
"We wish Leon every success at his new club and in his new life," said St Helens chairman Eamon McManus.
