George told BBC Radio Leeds: , external"From the club that I left to the club that it is now, it's progressed so much over the last few years.

"I'm just really looking forward to it - it's a great opportunity for me at a club that's going forward."

He added: "It's another step in my career - the club is on the rise and I want to be part of that. Plus it's my home-town team so that's added incentive to go there and do well."

Giants coach Nathan Brown told the club website: , external"He is a big athletic player and comes in alongside our other home-grown outside backs, we have the likes of Jermaine (McGillvary), Leroy (Cudjoe) and Michael (Lawrence) and I'm sure Luke will fit in well.

"If he puts the same amount of work in that those three guys do then I'm sure his game can really develop.

"He is a player that I have followed since I came to the club and he has got a lot of potential to become a really good Super League player."
