Hull KR's Australian stand-off Blake Green could return from a blood clot by the end of April.

The 25-year-old was ruled out indefinitely after having surgery on his calf in January.

Head coach Craig Sandercock is hopeful last season's player of the year is closing on a return and could feature against London Broncos on 22 April.

"Blake is responding very well to treatment and his blood clot has now been resolved," he said.

"He'll continue with his anticoagulant therapy for the next few weeks and providing he continues to respond as he has thus far, and the haematologist gives him the all clear, we anticipate Blake will be available for approximately round 12."

Rovers have been particularly badly hit by injuries so far this season, but Green's half-back partner Michael Dobson returned for last week's 42-10 defeat at Warrington.

And Sandercock could have Jordan Cox, Scott Murrell and Lincoln Withers back for Sunday's home game against Widnes.

But back-row forward Constantine Mika will be missing after receiving a one-match suspension.
