Castleford to sign Weller Hauraki from Leeds Rhinos

Castleford have agreed a deal to sign Leeds Rhinos second rower Weller Hauraki on a two-year contract.

The 27-year-old moved to Leeds from Crusaders in 2010, external and will join Cas ahead of next season.

Coach Ian Millward said: "His experience and exceptional attacking qualities will provide us with great stability and composure on the field.

"He is a tough competitor and with his boxing background, I expect him to be a leading figure in training too."

The New Zealander is the seventh player to commit to the Tigers, who finished 13th in Super League, for next season.

He follows Lee Gilmour,Michael Shenton,Jake Webster, Jamie Ellis,Jordan Tansey and Justin Carney in signing on at the Probiz Coliseum.
