Catalan Dragons have appointed Adam Trypas as strength and conditioning coach following Keegan Smith's move to join Trent Robinson at Sydney Roosters.

Trypas, 36, was part of Wayne Bennett's staff at NRL side Newcastle Knights last season, and has previous Super League experience with Wakefield.

Coach Laurent Frayssinous said: "He shares the same philosophy as Keegan.

"He's focused on speed, power and strength, and will allow us keep improving for the seasons to come."
