Hull KR have agreed to sign Australian half-back Kris Keating from Canterbury Bulldogs on a three-year contract.
The 24-year-old, who started his career at Parramatta Eels, will join the Super League side ahead of next season.
Keating is the third player from the NRL to agree to join the Robins for next season after prop Michael Weyman and forward Neville Costigan.
"I felt like I needed a new challenge because it was getting a bit stale here," he told BBC Radio Humberside.
"It's a big change but it's a really good quality league over in England. It was an opportunity that I couldn't refuse.
"You can see from the way the team is playing at the moment that they're going somewhere."
Keating will replace fellow Australian Michael Dobson who is joining Newcastle Knights at the end of the season.
He added: "I've got some big shoes to fill because he's an impressive player but I'm looking forward to getting over there and giving it everything I've got."
