Barrow Raiders have parted company with head coach Darren Holt after reaching an amicable agreement.
Holt, 36, had a year to run on his contract which will be honoured by the club, and part of which he will donate to the Raiders' floodlight appeal.
His departure comes after a season in which he was diagnosed with cancer and eventually had to let assistants Phil Atkinson and Dean Marwood take charge.
Barrow eventually finished 12th, just above the relegation places.
In the previous campaign, Holt led Barrow to promotion and a Grand Final defeat by Doncaster.
As a player, he had two spells at Craven Park, making 305 appearances, and is the club's record points scorer with 2,403.
"The board of directors would like to thank Darren for his years of dedication to Barrow Raiders both as a player and coach," Raiders chairman David Sharpe said., external
"Everyone on the board wishes Darren all the best in the future."
