Hull KR prop Jason Netherton has signed a new one-year deal.

The 31-year-old left the club at the end of last season before returning in the 2013 campaign.

Netherton, who has been awarded a testimonial, joined the Robins from Leeds Rhinos in 2004 and has made 174 appearances for Hull KR.

"I'm really pleased with it. I never thought this would happen when I first came here," he told BBC Radio Humberside.

"At the minute this is going to be my last season but you never know.

"I've not played that much rugby over the past couple of years so I will see how my body holds up.

"As you get older you start to pick up a few more injuries so I'll assess things midway through next year."

Meanwhile winger Alex Brown has left the club to join Championship side Leigh.

Brown scored nine tries in 16 appearances for the Robins in 2013 after joining from Batley.
