Salford Red Devils sign Wigan's Dom Manfredi on loan

Salford Red Devils have signed young winger Dom Manfredi on loan from Wigan Warriors for a month.

The 20-year-old has made one appearance for Wigan this season, scoring a try in the recent win over Wakefield.

Salford have a number of players currently out injured, including winter signings Rangi Chase, Gareth Hock, Francis Meli and Steve Rapira.

Brian Noble's Red Devils have won two and lost two of their first four Super League fixtures in 2014.

"We are pleased to have recruited Dominic for this crucial period of the season," Noble told the club website.

"He will provide us with much needed cover and some added competition across our back line, whilst adding another facet to our attacking threat."
