Hull KR have cancelled utility back Wayne Ulugia's contract for "repeated breaches of club discipline".

The 21-year-old signed for the club on an 18-month deal in April after NRL side North Queensland Cowboys released him for a similar reason.

When joining Rovers, he said: "I made a few rookie errors, but it's a fresh start for me and I feel I have a lot to give to the game."

Ulugia scored one try in three appearances at Craven Park.

News of his departure was confirmed in a brief statement on Hull KR's official website., external

"Hull Kingston Rovers can confirm the club has terminated the contract of first-team player Wayne Ulugia with immediate effect due to repeated breaches of club discipline," it read.

"The club will be making no further comment on this matter."
