Keighley Cougars will pay the remainder of Danny Jones's contract into a trust fund for his five-month-old twins.

The Wales international, 29, died as a result of a rare heart condition after collapsing during a League One game at London Skolars on 3 May.

The deal ran until the end of the season and a third of the gate receipts from last Sunday's home game against Coventry will also be donated.

"Keighley Cougars have been fantastic," Jones's wife Lizzie said.

The fund has so far raised in excess of £113,000.

"We are totally overwhelmed by ordinary people's generosity in supporting us," Lizzie added.

"These are the most difficult times and our family find great comfort from our wider rugby league family."

Jones's funeral will take place in Halifax on 22 May, with Lizzie asking those in attendance to wear rugby league shirts.
