Cameron Phelps will leave Super League side Widnes Vikings at the end of the current Super League season.

The 30-year-old Australian joined the Vikings from Hull FC in 2012 and his contract expires this summer.

The former Wigan and Canterbury Bulldogs man has featured at full-back and wing during his stay.

"I've really enjoyed my time at the Vikings and I'm disappointed that I couldn't have stayed longer as I still feel I have a lot to offer," he said.

"It has been an exciting four years and the progression we have made since rejoining Super League has been great."

Widnes have also announced a four-year partnership with the Rugby Football League to help Cumbria Storm.

The Vikings will work with the academy side, as well as Barrow Raiders, Whitehaven and Workington Town, in player development for the region.
