Leeds Rhinos maintained their four-point lead at the top of Super League with a 36-22 victory at Hull FC.

Ash Handley's try put Leeds ahead and Mark Minichiello replied for Hull FC to level it at 6-6 at half-time.

The hosts went in front through Steve Michaels, before Carl Ablett and Rob Burrow swung the game back to Leeds.

Jamie Shaul and Jordan Rankin scored tries for Hull, but Ryan Hall, Tom Briscoe and Burrow's second try were more than enough for the leaders.

Leeds have now won three from three in the Super 8s and this victory was good preparation for next weekend's Challenge Cup final.

Kallum Watkins, Danny McGuire and Adam Cuthbertson were all rested ahead of the Wembley showpiece against Hull KR.

Handley and Minichiello scored the only tries in the first half but the game exploded into life after the break.

The hosts went over three times in the second half with the highlight being Shaul's 70-metre dash to score, but they were outdone by a rampant Leeds.

Burrow scored two tries - with his second being the 200th of his career - while Ablett, Hall and Briscoe made sure the visitors kept up their 100% record in the Super 8s.
