Hull FC have signed half-back Morgan Smith from relegated Wakefield Trinity on a two-year deal from the 2024 Super League season.
The 25-year-old came through at Warrington to make his debut in 2016, and has since played 98 games, scoring 29 tries, 15 goals and four drop-goals.
Featherstone-born Smith joined Wakefield for 2023, scoring two tries in 14 games.
"It's a massive opportunity for me," Smith said.
"I'm grateful to Tony Smith and James Clark for providing me with the chance to show what I can do at a huge club like Hull."
Smith had a terrific season at his hometown club, coincidentally where his grandad Peter Smith won the 1983 Challenge Cup against Hull, with 22 tries in 30 games during the 2022 Championship season.
Before that, he was part of Tony Smith's Warrington squad, handed his debut by the veteran coach in a Challenge Cup tie with Oldham.
"I'm excited to work under Tony again," Smith said. "I'm confident he can get the best out of me and he can get me playing the best rugby I can.
"I'm hard-working and I like to think I'm strong defensively. Put me on an edge or in the middle and I'm always willing to get stuck in and do my very best for the team."
