Damel Diakhate: Hull FC sign French prop after trial period

Hull FC finished 10th in Super League in 2023, eight points off the play-off places

Hull FC have signed French prop Damel Diakhate on a one-year deal after a successful trial.

The 22-year-old, who spent four seasons playing in the French Elite One Championship, made two appearances for Hull's reserve side in the summer.

"He's enthusiastic, has a good work-rate and he's a handful for defenders when he carries the ball," head coach Tony Smith told the club website.

"He's looking for a break and we're willing to give him that opportunity."
