Hull KR half-back Mikey Lewis has signed a new deal to remain with the Super League club until the end of the 2028 season.

Lewis made 31 appearances for the club last season and helped them reach the Challenge Cup final and play-offs.

The 22-year-old also went on to win his first international cap for England against Tonga in October.

"I'm over the moon. I'm really happy where I am now and I'm looking forward to what the future holds," he said.

"This year has been massive for me. As a whole team we've come so far over the last few years to how we performed last year, getting to the Challenge Cup final, finishing fourth and making the play-off semi-finals."

Lewis made his debut for Rovers as an 18-year-old in late 2019 and has gone on to score 31 tries in 71 appearances for the club.

"I'm extremely happy to see Mikey extend his time at Hull KR. With Mikey being a homegrown player who's come through our system, it's a credit to everyone involved at the club who's helped Mikey get to where he is now," head coach Willie Peters said.

"It's huge for the club and wouldn't be possible without the fantastic support from our board. We want to keep our homegrown talent at the club and we want to keep them long term."
