Prop Muizz Mustapha has extended his deal with Castleford Tigers until the end of the 2027 season.

The 24-year-old Nigeria-born front-rower, who started out at Leeds Rhinos, joined a year ago and played 16 games in his first season for the Tigers.

Mustapha scored one try in nine games for Leeds, and also played for Hull KR in Super League as well as several Championship and League One loans.

"It's been a tough couple of years for me," Mustapha said.

"I'm glad we managed to stay up and I'm able to stay at the club for the next few years and hopefully they're a good few years."

Director of rugby operations Danny Wilson said: "Muizz is a player we've targeted and he's who we want to be at the club long term.

"Getting Muizz to agree to stay shows that he's enjoying himself here and that he sees his future here at our club which is very exciting for us and we're happy to get the deal done."
