Salford Red Devils have signed winger David Nofoaluma following his off-season release by Australian National Rugby League side Wests Tigers.

The 30-year-old flier was one of two Dally M wingers of the year in 2020 and has scored 104 tries in 198 NRL games for Wests and Melbourne Storm.

Nofoaluma will add depth to a Salford squad which saw Ken Sio and Joe Burgess depart from the outside backs.

"David's CV is fantastic," head coach Paul Rowley said.

"The influence and mutual respect that Krissy [Inu] has with players in world rugby has proven fruitful."

Australia-born Nofoaluma has four tries in three Samoa Tests, and played for the Australian Premier Ministers XIII representative side in 2015.

Salford director of rugby and operations Ian Blease added: "We have been searching all player opportunities for some time now, and when David became available it was one that, as a club, we did not want to let pass us by."
