Cornwall's Josh Hartshorne has been referred to a tribunal and faces a possible six-game ban for punching in their Challenge Cup loss to York Acorn.

Hartshorne was given a Grade E charge by the league's Match Review Panel following an ill-tempered fixture.

Coby Nichol was handed a less serious Grade B head contact charge and fined £40 for a high tackle.

Further charges were also dropped against Cornwall players Liam Whitton and Morgan Punchard.

No action was taken against any York Acorn players.

Josh Hartshorne was dismissed after 60 minutes for his conduct, during a game marred by poor weather and fights which required intervention from match officials.

Following the game, Cornwall head coach Mike Abbott said "discipline" let his side down during the match.
