Castleford secured a Super League double over struggling Hull FC with a commanding 39-20 win at the MKM Stadium.

Tigers stormed into an 18 point lead inside 30 minutes but were pegged back to within just four thanks to two tries from Hull winger Harvey Barron.

Tries from Innes Senior, Rowan Milnes, Jenson Windley and two from Tex Hoy against his former club, as well as eight goals from Milnes, sealed the win for Cas to help them move nine points clear of their hosts in the table.

Hull remain above bottom side London Broncos on points difference with Broncos in action against Leeds Rhinos on Sunday.

Hull, who have only won three times in the league this season, conceded after four minutes when Hoy set up Senior to crash over in the corner.

Despite Ligi Sao's converted try restoring parity for the Black and Whites, Cas effectively put the game to bed before the break.

Firstly, Milnes threw an excellent dummy to score and restore the visitors' lead.

Then, Windley backed up Tigers prop Liam Watts to score his first senior try for the club and nine minutes later a converted Hoy try made the score 24-6.

Hull did not lie down, however, and Barron pulled back two scores before half-time.

His first came following a pass out wide and the 21-year-old showed great strength to power over in the corner. His second came just three minutes later when the hosts overloaded Cas on the right to score comfortably.

Hull may have believed they were in the ascendancy when Tigers were reduced to 11 men after Namo and Liam Horne were both sent to the bin.

And once Herman Ese'ese offloaded superbly to captain Carlos Tuimavave to score under the sticks, Hull had cut the arrears to just four points.

Yusuf Aydin's yellow card for a late tackle proved to be a huge blow for Hull, however, and Namo secured the win after crashing over for his first try for the club.

A drop-goal from Milnes and a second try from Hoy added gloss to the win.
