York sign Hull FC hooker Balmforth on loan

Denive Balmforth made 10 Super League appearances on loan at Catalans Dragons last season

York Knights have signed Hull FC hooker Denive Balmforth on a season-long loan.

The 22-year-old made 11 appearances for the Black and Whites last season and also had a loan spell with Catalans Dragons.

"I've coached Denive in the England programmes coming through the youth ranks and I can't thank Hull FC enough for letting us have a season-long loan," York head coach Mark Applegarth told the club website.

"He could be anything he wants to be. He's got all the ability in the world for his age."
