Hull KR prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves will retire from rugby league at the end of the season.

The 36-year-old joined the club this year and will make his Super League season the last of a glittering career.

Warea-Hargreaves has won 33 caps for New Zealand and won three NRL titles and three World Club Challenge titles during 15 years with the Sydney Roosters.

He said: "Rugby League has given me the honour of representing my country, life-long friends and memories that I'll cherish forever.

"To my current club Hull KR, thank you for giving my family and I this opportunity. It has already exceeded all of our expectations and I am looking forward to finishing off the 2025 season with the lads."

Hull KR are currently top of the Super League with six wins from their opening seven matches - though they were beaten for the first time by Wigan last weekend.
