Hull FC have released Cam Scott from his contract early.

The 24-year-old back or second rower suffered a torn hamstring last month which would have ruled him out of the rest of the Super League season.

Scott had already agreed to join Wakefield Trinity next season, with the Championship leaders on course to bounce straight back into the top flight.

Scott played 73 games for Hull FC since making his debut in 2018, and has had loan spells at Doncaster, Dewsbury, York and Leigh.
