Hull KR loose forward George King will leave the Super League club at the end of the 2024 season.

The 29-year-old joined the Robins from Wakefield Trinity in September 2020 and has gone on to make 95 appearances for the club, becoming a fans' favourite at Craven Park in the process.

Since King's arrival just four years ago, the Robins have progressed into title contenders at the top of Super League.

"It’s been an incredible journey meeting so many amazing people at the heart of the club. Joining the club at the end of the lockdown and seeing where we are now, both on and off the field, fills me with great pride," King told the Robins' club website., external

"'The amount of hard work put in by so many people makes leaving all the more difficult.

"But with the club’s decision and direction and my family being my priority, I believe it’s best for me to leave with proud memories and no regrets," the club's 2022 Player of the Season added.

King becomes the Robins' second high profile departure in as many days after it was announced hooker Matt Parcell will also leave the club at the end of the season.
