Joe Burgess has scored seven tries in six appearances for Hull KR

Hull KR winger Joe Burgess has signed a two-year contract extension.

The 29-year-old joined the Robins on a one-year deal in January after he had been released by Salford Red Devils following an internal investigation.

The ex-Wigan man has scored seven tries in six appearances.

"Joe is going to be a key player for us over the next couple of seasons," head coach Willie Peters told the club website.

"We were fortunate Joe became available in January, and he’s worked extremely hard to earn this new extension with the club.

"Joe’s a really well-liked character within the group and I look forward to working with him over the next couple of seasons."
