Castleford full-back Rooney signs five-year deal

Fletcher Rooney scored one of Castleford's tries in their golden point defeat at Hull KR on the opening weekend of the Super League season

Castleford Tigers full-back Fletcher Rooney has signed a new five-year contract.

The 19-year-old made his debut for the Super League side in 2023.

"I'm in my fifth year at the club, I've worked hard at every level to be where I am today and I'm ambitious about the future," he told the club website.

"I want to keep improving and contributing to a Cas team that's competing and challenging."
