Cornwall centre Tom Ashton has left the club after three seasons.

The 32-year-old, who made his debut for the League One side in June 2022, has agreed to rejoin his former club Rochdale Hornets next year.

He scored two tries in 15 appearances this season as Cornwall won three of their 20 games to end the season second from bottom.

Ashton was part of a number of historic moments at the club - his debut came in Cornwall's first-ever victory over West Wales Raiders and he became the first player from the club to score a Challenge Cup try the following season.

He also helped the Choughs get a first-ever win over a heartlands club when they beat Rochdale a year ago.
