Catalans winger Johnstone set for injury absence

Catalans Dragons winger Tom Johnstone faces a spell on the sidelines after breaking a bone in his leg during last weekend’s game against Castleford Tigers.
Johnstone appeared to pick-up the injury as he landed awkwardly while attempting to ground the ball just before half-time in the Dragons’ 24-18 defeat at The Jungle.
The club said on Saturday that scans had revealed a fracture to the 28-year-old England international’s fibula.
Johnstone, who joined Catalans from Wakefield two years ago and is returning to Trinity next season, featured in the Dragons side that reached the 2023 Super League Grand Final.
