Warrington Wolves have signed Huddersfield Giants captain Luke Yates on a two-year deal for 2025 and 2026.
Yates will join up with Warrington in the autumn when this season has finished.
The 29-year-old Australian forward has been with Huddersfield since 2021 and has been captain in each of the last three seasons.
The Wolves are third in Super League and are preparing to face Wigan Warriors in the Challenge Cup final on 8 June.
Yates said the prospect of working under Warrington head coach Sam Burgess was too good to turn down.
"The opportunity for me to come and play for a club like Warrington with Sam Burgess as head coach is massive for me," he told the club's website, external.
“Sam was someone I idolised when he played NRL and to have the opportunity to work and learn from someone like him was a big factor."
Warrington will be Yates' fourth Super League club after previous spells with London Broncos and Salford Red Devils since moving over from Australia.
