Cornwall conceded 11 tries as they were thrashed 52-0 at home by North Wales Crusaders in the Challenge Cup second round.

Jake Spedding's early try put the Welsh side 4-0 up before Kieran Taylor scored two tries in as many minutes shortly before the interval.

Cornwall - who were taken over by businessman Ken Stone in November - suffered a number of injuries and had emptied their bench with 28 minutes left to play, by which time Lloyd Roby has scored once and Ollie Brookes twice.

Brookes would go on to score three more tries, while Taylor completed his hat-trick as injury-hit Cornwall played out the game with just 12 men.

Roby went on to get a second try before Cole Oakley got the Welsh side's final score with three minutes left.

The win books North Wales a home tie with Widnes in round three next month, while Cornwall return to action on 23 February when they travel to Workington Town in their opening League One fixture.
