The decibel levels each time England attack are something else. This is a much more encouraging start for the hosts than a week ago.

  2. 'Great response from England'published at 14:44 GMT 1 November

    England 2-2 Australia

    James Graham
Former England forward on BBC One

A great response from England. Their first touch of the football and they have looked good. They have created opportunities. Shaun Wane will be happy with that.

  3. PENALTY - England 2-2 Australiapublished at 14:44 GMT 1 November

    Harry Smith (9 mins)

The Everton fan, brought in for today's game, slots in an easy kick.

England level, a really good response.

    England will kick for goal...

    Here's Harry Smith.

    England 0-2 Australia

    Jonathan Davies
Former Great Britain international on BBC One

This is what sport is all about. There is no bigger Test today for England. They have to be patient and more clinical.

    England 0-2 Australia

So close for England, great hands out to the left but Tom Johnstone is crowded out.

But a handling error from Australia means the attack continues...

And they earn a penalty in a great spot.

  7. 'You have to keep your discipline'published at 14:41 GMT 1 November

    England 0-2 Australia

    Jonathan Davies
Former Great Britain international on BBC One

You want to England to play quicker, but you have to keep your discipline. You cannot give Australia easy field position.

    England 0-2 Australia

Harry Grant gives away a penalty for a high tackle on Herbie Farnworth - and we have another melee.

Farnworth chucked the ball at Grant, angry at that foul.

Grant may be the Aussie captain today, but he isn't setting the most stellar example.

The pyrotechnics have ended and the smoke has settled.

But the temperature has definitely gone up a notch with some early argy bargy. Jez Litten seemed to be more on the receiving end than instigator there.

The crowd are letting referee Grant Atkins know exactly what they think of that penalty to Australia in front of the sticks.

    England 0-2 Australia

Already this match feels much spicier than last week's first Test.

The crowd certainly feel much more vociferous.

  11. 'Grant started that'published at 14:39 GMT 1 November

    England 0-2 Australia

    Jonathan Davies
Former Great Britain international on BBC One

I think Harry Grant started that. You can't really throw a punch in today's game or your gone.

Dom Young and Tino Fa'asuamaleaui weren't the instigators, but they're certainly gone.

  12. PENALTY - England 0-2 Australiapublished at 14:39 GMT 1 November

    Nathan Cleary (3 mins)

Cleary with an easy two points in front of the posts, and he pops it through.

    Advantage Australia.

After all that, Australia have been given a penalty for the initial infringement...

  14. SIN-BINpublished at 14:38 GMT 1 November

    England 0-0 Australia

A player on each side is binned - Tino Fa'asuamaleaui for Australia, Dom Young for England.

Neither man started the scuffle, but they got involved and they are sent to the sidelines for 10 minutes each.

    England 0-0 Australia

Jez Litten tackled Harry Grant, and the Australian captain reacted badly. He pulled Litten to the floor, and soon everyone was involved.

    Plenty to sort out.

    England 0-0 Australia

100 seconds played, and we already have a massive scrap on the pitch!

Something happened off the ball and I think all 26 players have got involved.

  18. Postpublished at 2 mins

    England 0-0 Australia

    An iffy start for England.

Mike McMeeken concedes an early penalty in the ruck, giving Australia a chance to earn possession back.

Is that the influence of the NRL referee?

When you talk about the best players in the world, you talk about Nathan Cleary.

The frightening thing is he can produce better than he did last week.

  20. 'We must have a disruptive mindset'published at 14:33 GMT 1 November

    England 0-0 Australia

    Sam Burgess
Former England captain on BBC One

Our edge defensive must be aggressive. Our skills, it has to be basic early. If we are to win, we must have a disruptive mindset.
