Bristol have signed Ruki Tipuna from Scarlets and Jason Harris-Wright from Leinster.

Scrum-half Tipuna, 28, left Bay of Plenty in his native New Zealand to join Scarlets on a short-term deal, external in the summer and made six appearances.

Hooker Harris-Wright, 23, came through the Leinster academy and has played 12 games for the Irish province.

"Jason's a highly-rated hooker with Magners League experience," said coach Liam Middleton.

"We're fortunate to bring him in to provide competition in the front row.

"Ruki is sharp around the fringes and will cause problems for opposition defences. I think his style will suit the way we want to play and I am sure he will fit into our culture very quickly."

Tipuna has previously represented New Zealand Sevens and Maori while Harris-Wright has experience at Under-19 and Under-20 level with Ireland.
