Newport Gwent Dragons' European campaign ended on a high with a seven-tries-to-two romp against Italian side Cavalieri Prato.

However, the hosts lost Wales flanker and captain Dan Lydiate with an ankle injury in the opening quarter.

Adam Hughes opened the try-scoring with Rhys Buckley, Aled Brew, Alesana Tuilagi, Martyn Thomas and Lewis Robling also scoring.

Alberto Chiesa and Clemens Von Grumbkow went over for the visitors.

Jason Tovey kicked five Dragons conversions while Riccardo Bocchino hit two first-half penalties.
