Pro12: Zebre 11-19 Ulster
- Published
Centre Darren Cave scored Ulster's try as they ground out an important victory away to Zebre in Saturday's Pro12 clash in Parma.
Cave got over in the 27th minute while Paddy Jackson kicked the other 14 points for the Irish province.
The try came after a fine move with Jackson's clever reverse pass finding Craig Gilroy who fed the supporting Cave to score at close-range.
Home full-back Guglielmo Palazzani scored a try in the second half.
But it was not enough to deny Mark Anscome's Ulster a sixth win in seven league fixtures.
Zebre held a three-point advantage twice in the early stages through Italy international centre Gonzalo Garcia but Jackson responded on each occasion with equalising penalties.
Then a period of Ulster pressure was rewarded with Cave getting the try which Jackson converted for a 13-6 half-time lead.
Jackson added another two penalties early in the second half before Ulster's defence was breached with Palazzani finding a way through.
